Complete technical operations for programming contests

Hydro Contest Technical Team runs judging platforms, workstations, networks, and onsite systems for regionals, invitationals, provincial contests, and industry challenges.

The team began at the 2022 ICPC Asia-East Continent Final. Across the last three seasons, we supported most regionals in the Asia-East area and carried the resulting processes, tools, and incident experience into each following contest.

Contest technical support

The team covers the full path from lab preparation to post-contest archives and works with organizers on a plan suited to the venue, platform, and staff.

Onsite contest operations

For regionals, invitationals, and provincial contests, we prepare and run workstations, judging platforms, networks, and onsite systems.

  • Build and deploy contest workstation images at scale
  • Install and verify Hydro or DOMjudge
  • Configure scoreboard, balloon, award-ceremony, broadcast, and venue-display tools
  • Train volunteers and help organizers establish onsite procedures
  • Monitor judging, networks, and workstations and respond to incidents
  • Export results, archive scoreboards, and assist with code-similarity checks

Online contests and focused challenges

We build online environments on Hydro and custom contest platforms, including support for special problem types and complete result publication.

  • Build and maintain online judging platforms
  • Plan judging and network capacity for the contest scale
  • Provide Windows-based anti-cheating and proctoring options
  • Run rehearsals and provide live incident response
  • Customize scoreboards, exports, and publication workflows
  • Configure dedicated problem types and submission environments for industry challenges
